Tone It Up 31 Day Challenge
It’s been quite a long time since I focused any attention on this blog, but now it’s time to start back. This is a good way for me to keep my focus on my health and fitness journey. This blog is a good way to keep myself accountable for the goals I set for myself.
The original purpose of my Finding Zoey blog was to create a platform to share my own experiences and my goals for making changes in my life for the better. The idea was for this to be a safe and encouraging space where people can share their goals for making their lives into what they want it to be. I want people to be able to share the steps they’re taking to better themselves and their lives. I want to reach out to those just like me. People searching within themselves to find out who they really are. People who want to continually learn and better themselves.
So now to the reason for starting this blog back up again. Recently I had a work event where we had a professional photography document the night through photos. Well when his photos came back to us, I was less than happy with photos of myself. I started out the day feeling fairly satisfied with how I looked for the event. But after seeing photos I was so disappointed with myself as far as my body went. I swear it’s like I forgot what I looked like or something.
I’m not confident about my looks… at all most days. I’ve tried losing weight and working out with success here and there, but nothing that’s really lasting long term. I don’t like seeing myself in photos especially those taken by other people. At least if I do the rare selfie I have the option to choose the most flattering one out of the 50 I may take.
So needless to say after seeing those photos I new it was time to really put in the effort to better my health and lose the excess weight. And literally just days after making this promise to myself I stumbled upon the 31 Day Challenge from Tone It Up. I had never even heard of Tone It Up before this. So I did a little research… Checked out the website, Facebook, Instagram. Read what those in the Tone It Up Community were talking about when it came to their experiences.
After all that I decided to give it a try. After signing up to join the challenge group, I got an email from Karena & Katrinna (the girls behind the brand) with this great image above to celebrate.
Who knows maybe it can be the fresh start that I need to kick things off again. Let’s see…
