Why I’m Glad I Chose Tone It Up…

I’m just a few days into the Tone It Up 31 Day Challenge and I’m loving it.  It’s all about eating by “Lean, Clean, ‘n Green” nutrition guidelines and making time for daily workouts.  The Studio Tone It Up app gives you free fun daily workouts to go by.  It also gives you daily classes from the Studio if you sign up for access for a preferred time (3 months or a year) with lots of previous class On Demand.

I’ve been singing the Tone It Up praises to my friends.  And when the Karena & Katrina shared some welcomed encouragement on Instagram yesterday, I knew for sure that I made the right choice to join this program, lifestyle, and community of great women with the same fitness goals as me.

After reading this encouraging post to my sister, we had a great discussion about how wonderful the whole Tone It Up vibe is.  Check out the quote below from Karena & Katrina to see what I’m talking about….

Karena and I want to talk about something real quick. We’ve been seeing a lot of comments on IG like— I already ruined the challenge for myself, I skipped my workout, I’m so mad I ate this or that…and we’re here to tell you that you’re doing amazing! As women, we all tend to be too hard on ourselves. We’re all or nothing— we carry guilt if we’re not ‘perfect,’ and we give up on our goals the moment we feel like we didn’t live up to an expectation we set. We want to tell you that it’s ok and totally normal to have these feelings~ but we’re here to help you shift your mind!! 💛

We ‘mess up’…all the time— we miss workouts, we treat ourselves (oftennn), and we put other things in front of our goals. But we actually don’t call it a mess up and we don’t let any guilt in. That’s why we don’t ever call a pizza night with friends or an ice cream date ‘cheating’ – cheating has a negative connotation like you’ve done something wrong and can lead to negative self-talk. So throw that phrase ‘cheat meal’ out the window! Everything you’re doing is enough and you are enough ✨

For the 31 Day Challenge, if you skip a workout, go to your favorite class instead of a Studio Tone It Up workout in the app, sub a meal in the meal plan with something you love, or even change up the entire meal plan and still follow the guidelines ~ you’re stilllll doing the challenge! 🙌🙌

We just offer you the tools and suggestions for your TIU lifestyle! If you have some wine tonight or if you splurge on your favorite treat, you’re stillll doing the challenge. The important thing to remember is to be kind to yourself, to practice positive self-talk, to enjoy life, and do what you can. Karena and I are here to provide you with the meal plans, the workouts, the guidance, and the tips to incorporate into your lifestyle however you can. So, we challenge you for the entire month of #TIU31 to work on forgiveness, patience, and kindness with yourself, and see how much happier and more resilient you’ll actually become!
