Book Review: “Hero” by Julia Sykes

I’m a very avid reader. I love love love to read.

Recently I was granted with the amazing opportunity of joining the ARC (Advanced Reader’s Copy) Group for one of my current favorite authors – the wonderfully talented Julia Sykes. She has a new book coming out on June 20th called “Hero.” It’s the 13th full book in her “Impossible” series. And of course I’ve read them all. As well as her “Renegade” series and her “Caught Between the Billionaires” series. Needless to say I had no problem agreeing to write an honest review of the book in exchange for an advanced copy.

So now that I have your attention, here’s my review of the book…

This is another great book from Julia Sykes. I’m a huge fan of this series. So happy that Dex is finally getting the happily ever after he deserves.

Dex is a tough FBI agent, sexy Dom, and sweet nerdy gamer all wrapped up in one gorgeous package. After losing the woman he loved to another man, he’s struggled with how to move on.

Chloe is a talented journalist and BDSM romance novelist. She’s worked hard to build up her careers and her life while dealing with the trauma caused by her abusive ex-husband.

Both their lives are turned upside down when they’re thrown together for the purposes of research. Chloe is working on a story about the Latin Kings gang with help from Dex and the FBI. She’s also working on her next BDSM novel, and Dex is a perfect research assistant.

Both reluctant to find love and both in need of it in their lives. These two are a perfect match for each other. Both Dex and Chloe deserved their happily ever after and that’s exactly what they got.

The writing is great as always. The scenes are super steamy. And the characters are completely lovable.

I can’t wait for what Julia has in store for us next.
