Never Too Late to Start…
I know this year is almost over, but it’s never too late for a fresh start. And that’s what I want.
The other day I was browsing the aisles at my local Publix when I stumbled on a new book from Women’s Health Magazine. It’s the “Kick-Ass Body Guide 2017.” (I would include a link for it but I haven’t been able to find it online yet.) I flipped through it a little and it caught my attention. Like maybe this is something I can work through from start to finish to make some changes.
Here’s a letter from the Editors at the front of the book:
“The key to havig a kick-ass body is to treat it well. Yes, it’s that simple. The real secret to Beyonce-like confidence is to take a 360-degree approach to your health.
The Women’s Health Kick-Ass Body Guide 2017 will help you jump-start your plan to get in your best shape ever – and keep a toned, sexy body for years to come. The three parts of this book cover everything you need to get strong and lean: motivation secrets, fat-burning and metabolism-revving plans, healthy eating tips, fresh workout approaches, and tons more.
So what are you waiting for? Lets’ kick some serious ass!”
Sounds good right? So after I got home I had the thought to look through my Kindle to see what other health and fitness books I already had that I’ve been ignoring. Turns out I had two full books, one sample of a book, and several healthy recipe books.
The one that caught my attention then was “Thinner in 30” by Jenna Wolfe. That’s the one I just had a sample of. I started reading it and was hooked. I bought the full book immediately and started highlighting.
So the plan for this new start of mine is to work my way through her 30 small changes. I’m also going to do my very best to fit in at least 30 minutes of exercise each day and build from there. I’ll blog my way through this journey and share what I’m learning.
I’ll go ahead and say that I probably won’t be the best at blogging each day, at least not at first. But I want this to be the first steps towards a better life for me.
I hope you’ll follow along…
Oh and just in case you’re curious as to what those other health books are that I had left ignored in my Kindle, here they are:
* “Good Health Good Life” by Joyce Meyer
* “Eat. Nourish. Glow.” by Amelia Freer
