Love Yourself Challenge: Focus on Health (W1.D3)

​Week 1, Day 3 of the “Love Yourself” Challenge.

Today’s focus is about enjoying writing and working out.

​Task 1: Journaling Rocks

There’s no wrong way to journal.  Get tips on how to make the mot of your journaling, and take your first writing challenge.  Take 10 minutes to journal about why you want to be healthy.

So I have plenty of reasons to get healthy, get fit, and lose weight.  But when I started thinking about today’s task, I started thinking about what other people might add to their list.  I wondered what my list might have in common with others.  So I did the most natural thing.  I grabbed my smartphone and took to Pinterest.  I found so many great lists and quotes and images for inspirations.

I’ll share below a few of my top reasons for bettering myself.  And maybe over the next few days of this challenge I’ll be able to share some lists, quotes, and images of my own.  So be on the look out.

Some of my reasons:

Increased confidence
Decreased health risks
To enjoy life more
To no longer be the biggest girl in the room
So when I hear people laugh, I don’t assume they’re laughing at my weight
To wear a tight shirt and not feel so fat
To look good naked
To stop wearing out the inner thighs of my pants
To no longer feel like the fat friend

​Task 2: 15-Minute Workout

​Do at least 15 minutes of your favorite exercise.  Whether it’s lifting weights, dancing, playing tag with your kids, or walking, do one of your favorite workouts today for 15 minutes or longer.

My fun exercise of choice today is dancing.  Not the “oh I’m so awesome at dancing” – more like the whole “dance like no one’s watching” kind of dancing.  I’m talking about plugging my smartphone into the speakers in the living room and cranking up my Spotify dance playlist.  I’m even going to drag my fiance along for fun.
